Sam Edelman launches denim collection with Los Angeles company

Iconic shoewear label Sam Edelman is looking to expand into new apparel categories for the new year. The company has chosen Los Angeles for its next venture, introducing its latest denim collection.

The brand reached out to Los Angeles denim expert Global Brands Group (BGB) Denim West for the collection's manufacturing. Together, the two tapped into Sam Edelman's sophisticated footwear styling and high-quality products in order to create the new line. “There are two things that are critical to a successful denim collection—the perfect fit and being on trend. Those are both things the Sam Edelman brand is known for and will be the foundation for the denim launch as well,” Suzy Biszantz, president and CEO of GBG Denim West, said in a press release.

The first collection includes denim pieces including an array of jeans and denim jackets. There are fits including “The Kitten” mid-rise, “The Stiletto” high-rise and “The Mary Jane” boyfriend jean. The collection launched as a holiday theme including crystal embellishments and coated denim to fit the season. “We are excited about the newest addition to our ever-growing brand. Our product is designed for the modern woman and her desire to feel comfortable and confident, wherever she goes,” the company’s president, Sam Edelman, said in a statement. Retailing from 98-148 dollars, the denim collection is now available at Nordstrom.com, Samedelman.com and through all Sam Edelman retail locations.
