The Savannah College of Art and Design in America is to honour British designer Vivienne Westwood with its André Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award in conjunction with the school’s student fashion show.

Fashion editor Talley has previously honoured designers including Francisco Costa, Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta and John Galliano at the school, and will present Westwood with her award in “recognition of her achievements and legacy in fashion” on May 15.

Additionally, Westwood will also sit down and share insight into her career and causes in a conversation with Véronique Hyland, fashion news editor for New York magazine’s The Cut.

Talley has also curated an exhibition of 25 of Westwood’s iconic looks that will be on view at the SCAD Museum of Art from May 19 to Sept. 13.
