Downtown Los Angeles, also known as the heart of Los Angeles’ fashion district, is hosting a retail block party this weekend. This Sunday, ShopWalk DTLA kicks off the month of august with its summer installment of retail shops.

The ShopWalk will take place on 5th Street between Spring and Main Street. The day-long event will feature UpMarket, which is a series of pop-up retail vendors posting up shop for the night. Merchants on the roster include I Love Fashion, Sixhundred, Gather, Clade, Bliss CLothing, Velazca, and more. UpMarket’s featured pop-ups will include Echo + Air, Violet Tinder, Jessica Faulkner, and more. In total, ShopWalk features 27 retail merchants and 25 food and drink eateries. The event will include discount shopping prices, in-store events, and pop-ups throughout the day. The communal event will allow locals to walk the streets of downtown and effectively shop from local retailers of their community.

The event is brought to downtown LA by Historic Core BID. Local retailers, restaurants and the Historic Core BID have worked together since 2012 to celebrate the community with ShopWalk DTLA. Beginning August 2, the event will return on the first Sunday of every month. In the future, the event will team up with local hangouts like Grand Central Market and the Historic Downtown Farmers Market.
