Solarium launches retro-inspired swimwear

New York-based brand Solarium just launched a new swimwear label. Designed by Amelia Lindquist and photographer Harry Mason Dent IV, the two have worked as a collaborative effort to create the new line.
In New York City, each suit is made one by one. The pieces include different styles including one-piece suits, bikinis, and more. Most of the bottom pieces emphasize a high-waisted fit. The new swimwear label designed by Lindquist and Dent ranges in price from 120 to 185 dollars, according to Solarium's website.
Lindquist's pervious work experience in fashion ranges from working at Alexander Wang, CK Calvin Klein Jeans, and Proenza Schouler. Working on Solarium swimwear, Lindquist told WWD that she sees the line as a "collaboration between herself, Dent, and others--with the intention to initiate and probe aesthetic discussion." The suits are all designed with an art conception in mind, rather than the tradition type of beach swimwear.
