Teva taps streetwear designer Benny Gold for limited edition shoe

Teva footwear has just teamed with a new San Francisco-based brand for a new streetwear-inspiration collaboration. The outdoor footwear brand has worked with designer Benny Gold in order to release a new limited-edition pair of sneakers.

Benny Gold, designer of his namesake brand, joined Teva’s Artist Series with this new shoe design. With Gold’s street-influenced style along with Teva’s wanderlust vibe, the two have just unveiled their design of a men’s sandal with a geometric design. With a color palette of teal, maroon, and red; the shoe gives off a tribal, outdoorsy feel with its aesthetic. “When I was in high school, one of my first jobs was at a shoe store where I sold a lot of Teva sandals,” Gold said in a release, as reported by Footwear News. “I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Teva, so when they approached me about partnering with them to design a limited-edition sandal, it felt like everything came full circle from my childhood.”

Gold’s flagship store resides in San Francisco and retails both menswear and womenswear. The shop sells tees, outerwear, pants, hats, and accessories. In teaming with Teva, Gold was able to put his own creative spin on Teva’s iconic sandals. The California-based company reached out to the designer in order to create this limited men’s shoe. The Teva x Benny Gold sandal retails for 60 dollars currently and is available through Teva.com as well as Huckberry.com.
