Haitian American designer Ouigi Theodore of The Brooklyn Circus has released his final collection with Macy’s for Sun + Stone. This collaboration wraps up the retailer’s three-part “Icons of Style” initiative, which also features lines by Zerina Akers, Misa Hylton, Aminah Abdul Jillil, and Allen Onyia. The initiative was started to help highlight Black designers and creatives.

The collection features 13 pieces, all heavily inspired by Ouigi’s love for history, his vintage archives, and storytelling. This collection marks Ouigi’s final chapter of sharing the influence of his mom and American soldiers returning home from conflict. The line includes a bucket hat, chore jacket, hoodie, jeans, long-sleeve knit shirt, short-sleeved tee, rugby shirt, quilted bomber, utility pants, two turtleneck, popover shirt, and a military parka.

In this campaign, the designer also highlights the involvement of his creative assistant and mentee Leroy Pope. Theodore and Pope worked hand-and-hand to curate the collection.

“This is the strongest and final release of our partnership with Macy’s Sun + Stone,” Theodore said in a statement. “We hope to expand the partnership with and keep a solid presence of the Black and necessary American narrative that we represent in the stores for more than just this year of collaboration.”

The Ouigi Theodore for Sun + Stone collection is available now at select Macy’s stores nationwide and at macys.com.
