Tmall holds promotion to expand online U.S. brands to China

Tmall.com is known as an online retailer that offers promotions and sales to its customers. The company just recently highlighted U.S. fashion brands in its sales for its most recent apparel promotion.

The apparel sale is held bi-annually by the company in the fall and spring seasons. For its fall promotion, the e-commerce site focused on capitalizing on brands that popular in the U.S. The sale that will run through until this Wednesday includes over 160 U.S. brands that are offered through Tmall.com. Out of those brands, 20 labels are being sold exclusively through the website. The idea is to expand U.S. brands to the Chinese consumer, as Tmall.com is a China-based company. In order to encourage their consumers towards these brands, the retailer offered same-day shipping as an option for purchases.

Tmall.com is currently China’s largest business-to-consumer platform. The brand has established itself as a company that offers quality, brand-name goods to its consumers. It is the most visited business-to-consumer online retail website in China. Brands that operate under Tmall.com include New Balance, Crocs, Mango, and Puma. U.S. brands include the Gap, Vans, and Levi’s among many others. Tmall.com is estimated to make over 4 million dollars on a daily basis. According to Go-Globe, Tmall.com gets over 400 million visits per month.
