Premium denim brand True Religion is planning to bring in a new experience for its retail customers. The brand is launching a new technological app called Band by True Religion to help facilitate a fresh, innovative take on shopping.

The new app will be active in True Religion stores including its Los Angeles and New York stores. Two locations that are confirmed to use the new initiative, as reported by Apparel News, include New York’s SoHo flagship and the Beverly Center location. The service starts with customers downloading the True Religion app. After the download, the customer can enter a store which will bring up a database of information on customers for salespeople. The information includes the customer’s jean preference, how he/she likes to shop, and also his/her preferred method of contact. These will allow the sales team to use this information as sales’ leads. The new initiative will also allow sales associates to access their store’s inventory to suit the customers’ needs.

The new app serves as a new mode of connecting with the customer and creating a new type of experience. Using efficiency and insights, Band can help drive sales and also allow True Religion to excel in customer service.“People just don’t want to shop. They want an experience,” John Hazen, vice president of label, told Apparel News. As the fashion market becomes increasingly competitive, True Religion’s new innovation proves that the brand is taking the necessary steps to keep up with changing times.
