Under Armour partners with A$AP Rocky for disadvantaged youth

Under Armour just confirmed a new partnership with A$AP Rocky in order to unveil a new collection. The deal was just announced recently as a strategic move from the sportswear label.

The collaboration includes a new collection as well as philanthropic events to help the community. The collection is set to be unveiled later this year with a retail launch. The Under Armour brand chose the rapper in order to create an impact on their business. On top of creating a unique capsule, the partnership is focused on improving the community as well. "Furthering our unique and truly first-of-its-kind partnership together, we’ll prioritize giving back in disadvantaged communities, particularly with the youth of America," Todd Montesano, senior vice president of global entertainment and partnerships for Under Armour, told WWD.

Currently, the strategic partnership plans to update existing community centers in neighborhoods to encourage arts and interests in fashion, music, beauty, and sports. The centers will be located in Los Angeles, New York, Baltimore, and other cities. There are no further details on the collection, prices, or designs at the moment disclosed. As the collaboration was just announced, it's likely that the partnership will start to take effect within he next few months.
