WeddingWire expands to UK with global site

Global online leader WeddingWire just announced the launch of its website in the United Kingdom. The global online marketplace now allows for customers and suppliers to have an effective planning experience through the platform.

According to 2018 WeddingWire research, 65 percent of UK couples stated that making decisions and determining budget were top wedding challenges for engaged couples. 'Finding suppliers' also ranked high as a major pain point, according to the research. The platform that just launched allows for couples to have access to a network of over 11,000 high-quality local suppliers, budget planners, supplier reviews, and more.

"With 300,000 UK weddings per year, we are excited to serve engaged couples and suppliers in 2018," Tim Chi, chief executive officer of WeddingWire, said in a statement. "We are committed to providing locally-relevant, meaningful wedding planning experiences to everyone we serve with our tried-and-true planning tools and online marketplace, as we have done in 14 other countries currently serving millions of happy couples, wedding guests and suppliers."

WeddingWire currently serves over 13 million couples every month find a network of wedding suppliers and more. With over 400,000 supplies, the ten-year-old company is based near Washington, D.C. WeddingWire's portfolio also operates in 15 countries in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
