American actress Whoopi Goldberg is launching her own fashion label, Business of Fashion reports. Set to debut on May 15 on Amazon, Ashley Stewart, Le Tote and Neiman Marcus, Goldberg’s brand is called Dugbee and will offer comfortable, size-inclusive pieces ranging in price from 90 US dollars to 400 US dollars.

“For me, the idea has always been to be comfortable”, the actress told the publication. “And it’s the craziness of me wearing socks with high heels because I like to have socks on my feet when I wear high heels. Now everybody does it”.

Dugbee’s clothing will be produced by licensee The Powell Companies Real LLC, which produced Beyoncé’s extinct ready-to-wear line House of Déreon. Gary Wassner, founder of Hilldun, is Goldberg’s business partner in the enterprise.

“We are making clothes that compensate for all of the issues that have always bothered Whoopi when she’s gone shopping”, said Wassner to Business of Fashion. Dugbee’s clothing will feature deeper pockets, wider sleeves and longer shirt lengths, for example.
