Woodbury University announced on August 6, that its Fashion Design program has been ranked 10th among the top fashion schools in the West.

Nationally, the school ranks 23rd among private schools and colleges by Fashion-Schools.org, an online resource for the fashion industry. Woodbury University offers a BFA in Fashion Design through its School of Media, Culture, & Design. “Woodbury is carrying on a proud tradition of leadership in fashion design, and we’re especially pleased to make the Top 25 rankings nationally among private institutions,” said Kathryn Hagen, chair of the Woodbury University Fashion Design Department.

The program features internship opportunities with prestigious fashion companies nationally. Fashion-Schools.org factored in several hundreds of schools in the U.S. offering programs for fashion merchandising, fashion design, fashion marketing, retailing and more. The goal of the ranking system was allow students to have a way to make an informed decision about their school of choice to pursue their fashion career. The selection criteria assessed academic reputation, depth and breadth of the program and facility, admission selectivity, value in relation to tuition, and geographic location.

Woodbury University was founded 1884 and is currently one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Southern California. The school offers bachelor’s degrees from the School of Architecture and School of Business. The institution offers various degrees in architecture, social justice, culture and design, and more.
