Los Angeles - Vintage, contemporary brand YSTR has recently launched a new Los Angeles-based brand. Joining the mix of other local brands, the curated line includes classic styles with a modern twist.

YSTR, which is an abbreviation for “Yesterday” as a homage to its retro feel, offers a variation of ready-to-wear apparel for women. The brand offers graphic printed dresses, ruffled blouses, jumpsuits, and more for the modern Los Angeleno. Founders April Liang and Garrett Gerson came together to produce the vintage line with a nod to 1960’s fashion. The company aims to bring stylish fashion at an affordable price in an environmentally conscious manner. All of YSTR’s clothing retails at a price point under 200 dollars.

The brand’s clothing is completely designed and manufactured in-house in downtown Los Angeles, where the newly launched line is headquartered. The company uses a cut-to-order system that allows the brand to make sure there is zero wasted inventory. According to the brand’s website, most retail stores have an average markup of 130 percent. With YSTR’s initiatives, the company is hoping to change this. As a new environmentally conscious line, the labels aims to provide stylish clothes for Los Angeles locals with a decent price point. The sustainability part of the company just shows that YSTR is on trend with where the fashion industry is headed.
