What if someone told you that it was possible to do colorful minimalism? Now wait a minute, you are probably thinking that's an oxymoron. However, designer Zachary Prell managed to create such a concept with his spring/summer 2017 collection.

Upon entering the space for his presentation, on the left hand side your usual neutrals could be fine like white and navy. Simple, functional pieces were there like a white washed cotton jacket and light grey plaid linen jackets. However, the visual merchandising of this presentation just helped ease customers in to brighter, more colorful offerings.

Basics this season included a coral pima cotton pique t-shirt, a pink linen tank, and teal-washed cotton linen shorts.

The theme of this collection was Renew: an immersion of warm and cool revealed through natural fibers, refined textures, and modern silhouettes. While the neutrals like navy and grey stressed the theme of cool colors, the brighter, warm colors were there to help give the collection some flare, so it wasn't just another predominantly neutral colored men's collection.

Prell knows how to add flare to simplicity, a skill only so many designers can boast about.
