Last week, Tod's creative director Alessandra Facchinetti departed the company after three years in her role. Facchinetti replaced former Tod's creative director Derek Lam, who is now best known for his own line. She helped elevate Tod's media presence by presenting the brand's first ever runway show in fall 2013.

It has been reported that Andrea Incontri, Tod's creative director of men's, will have his role with the company expanded in the wake of Facchinetti's departure. This is considered to mean that he could be taking over as creative director. Tod's was not immediately available for comment.

Incontri first joined the brand in 2014 when chief executive officer Diego Della Valle put his plan in place to expand the men's division.

Incontri launched his eponymous label in 2009 focusing on accessories. He quickly expanded his label to men's wear, and in 2012 he added a women's wear collection.

If Incontri does become creative director of Tod's, he will have the distinction of heading up the leading brand under Tod's SpA Group, which includes Fay, Hogan, and Roger Vivier.
