Off-price retail giant Bealls has named David N. Brown as its new vice president of stores. In the role, Brown has been tasked with overseeing store operations across several US regions, and in turn backing the Florida-headquartered group’s growth.
He joins the company from Ross Dress for Less, where he most recently served as regional vice president. During this time, Brown was credited with aiding the retailer through a period in which it was "consistently ranked as a top performer in both sales and contribution”.
He has also held key leadership roles at Target, specifically leading multi-unit operations and helping turnaround in underperforming markets. As a whole, Brown boasts over 25 years of retail and leadership experience.
Speaking on the new appointment, Gil Volger, senior vice president of stores and operations at Bealls, said: “Dave’s authentic and humble leadership style is a perfect fit for our culture. His ability to build high-performing teams, drive operational efficiencies, and successfully build and execute strategic initiatives will be instrumental as Bealls continues to expand into new markets.”
Bealls currently operates 650 retail stores across 22 US states, alongside its online national and Florida-dedicated e-commerce sites.
