David Yurman appoints Carol Pennelli as president

Jewelry brand David Yurman just announced a new president for the brand. Tapping Carol Pennelli, she is set to take over the role effective immediately.

In her role, Pennelli will oversee all functions for the company excluding design and creative. She will report directly to the cofounder, chairman and chief executive officer of the brand David Yurman. "I am honored for the opportunity to be at the helm of David Yurman as this dynamic American brand evolves into a truly global organization," Pennelli said in a press release. "Working closely with David, Sybil and Evan, I look forward to fostering an environment that seamlessly unites functions, while elevating the innovative and entrepreneurial DNA of David Yurman."

Her role is a step up as she previously serve as chief commercial officer for the company. She served at the company for about 15 years handling all the brand's commercial channels, profit and loss, and general performance. As Pennelli was in charge of overseeing all retail, wholesale, and digital businesses for David Yurman, it seems she will smoothly transition into the role of president for the company.

"Since Carol joined our company over fifteen years ago, we have transformed from a wholesale company to a dynamic global omni-channel organization," Yurman said in a company statement. "Carol has been critical to our business's growth across all commerce points, and has a unique and deep understanding of our brand. We are well-positioned for growth under her leadership, and I look forward to continuing working with Carol to achieve greater success."
