Deckers Brands has appointed Sergio Azzolari to the role of Senior Vice President, EMEA, starting from February 2, 2015. Azzolari has previously worked at an international executive level in Europe, Asia and the US with a strong background in commercial marketing and operational roles. He joins Deckers Brands from the Luxottica Group, a leader in premium and luxury eyewear.

While at Luxottica, Azzolari strengthened the retail culture and grew the Sun and Luxury division under the Sunglass Hut brand. He worked across both franchise and wholly owned stores, improving profitability across the portfolio. He also focused on product assortment and the consumer experience, making a significant impact on the company’s omni-channel initiatives. Following his success in Europe, he was asked by Luxottica leadership to relocate to the US to work on the Lenscrafters value proposition for the North American market. Earlier in his career, Azzolari held a number of leadership roles at several international brands including Fornari Missoni and Benetton.
