Yoox, the heavily discounted designer apparel website, has hired Enrico Cavatorta as their new chief financial and corporate officer. Cavatorta will step into his new role on Monday, April 27th, 2015. Cavatorta arrives at Yoox after fifteen years at Luxottica Group, the world's largest eyewear company known for brands like Ray-Ban, Persol, and Oakley.

While at Luxottica, Cavatorta served as Chief Financial Officer, and climbed the ladder to become co-CEO of corporate functions, a position he held from 2011 until his current departure. In addition to his experience at Luxottica, Cavatorta has also worked for Procter and Gamble Italy, Mckinsey and Company, and Piaggio Group. Cavatorta will have a very long list of responsibilities in his new role.

He will be overseeing administration, finance and control, corporate development and investor relations, legal and corporate affairs, risk management and compliance, and general services. He will be reporting to Yoox founder CEO Frederico Marchetti. Cavatorta will officially become responsible for Yoox's finance statements on May 1st, a task that is sure to be quite tedious as Yoox is becoming quite popular, and quite the e-commerce destination, but, he is certainly the man for the job given all his qualifications.
