U.S. Jeans Co. recently just added a new addition to their team. The denim company just hired on Fashion Institute of Technology graduate Erin McColl as head designer.
The Los Angeles-based company hired her on due to her extensive work in the denim industry in the past. McColl’s previous experience in fashion includes working for various prestigious denim brands in the past. Her line of work includes Lucky Brand, Plaid Denim, and Seven For All Mankind. In working for U.S. Jeans Co., McColl will help revamp the company’s look. Currently, she used three weeks to tweak and alter the fall collection that will premiere at Project in Las Vegas. “[The collection] is just updated to more premium product with sophisticated washes and fits,” she told WWD.
The rejuvenated collection will showcase this year in Las Vegas. Although not changed too drastically, the denim jeans are more reflective of current trends. The jeans have shorter hems and higher rises under McColl’s direction. The collection will retail its jeans between the price range of 159 to 209 dollars. With McColl as head designer, the company projects the brand to reach 2 million dollars in sales, as reported by WWD. Although the fall collection will show soon, her first fully fledged collection under U.S. Jeans Co. won’t be available in stores until next Spring.
