Fendi Americas has named Joanna M. Dubin their new president. She succeeds Gaetano Sciuto, who held the role for five years, and is leaving Fendi to pursue a new opportunity. Dubin will step into her new role on January 7, 2019. Sources say Sciuto is leaving to take on a role at Giorgio Armani.

Dubin will be based in New York, and will report to Giuseppe Oliveri, Fendi’s worldwide managing director, retail and wholesale.

Previously, Dubin was senior vice president of merchandising at Louis Vuitton Americas in New York. Before that she was based in Japan as CEO of Gilt Groupe Japan, where she was promoted from general merchandising manager.

Dubin has also worked as the senior director of digital merchandising and planning at Coach, and at Polo Ralph Lauren as senior director of merchandising for Asia and Japan for women's, men's, children's and home categories.
