Harry Arnett returns to Callaway as chief brand officer

US sports and apparel group Callaway Golf Company (Callaway) has announced the appointment of Harry Arnett as senior vice president, chief brand officer. Arnett previously served at Callaway from 2012 to 2019 as head of global brand and marketing.

In his new role, Arnett will lead global brand strategy and demand-creation efforts for Callaway. His responsibilities encompass brand building, creative communications, and consumer-facing strategies designed to strengthen connections with consumers, increase product momentum, and drive market-share growth.

“We are very excited to have Harry return home to his Callaway family,” said Callaway president and chief executive officer Chip Brewer. “Harry brings a rare combination of creative vision, commercial instinct, and a deep understanding of the golf consumer.”

Brewer noted that during Arnett’s initial tenure at Callaway, he helped establish a modern, consumer-focused approach to brand building. US hard goods dollar market share, as reported by Golf DataTech, increased by over 1,000 basis points to 24 percent, while the company reclaimed its status as the top US club brand from 2015 to 2020.

“Coming back to Callaway means a great deal to me and my family,” said Arnett. “I’ve long believed Callaway is one of the truly iconic brands in all of sports, and I couldn’t be more excited to reunite with the incredible people who make Callaway special.”

Arnett added that the team has positioned Callaway for its next chapter, providing an opportunity to build brand momentum and deepen engagement with consumers.
