Ralph Lauren has appointed Jane Hamilton Nielsen as EVP and COO of the company. Nielsen will also continue to retain her role as chief financial officer of the company. Her new role will become effective on March 31.

Nielsen became CFO of Ralph Lauren in 2016, and has been instrumental in trying to turnaround the company. The company's recent Q3 results saw a 5 percent increase in revenue and earnings per diluted share of 1 dollar and 48 cents.

The company has been working to win over a new generation of customers, and last year increased marketing investment by 18 percent to do so. The company has managed to elevate their brand and connect with new consumers through a collaboration with U.K.-based streetwear brand Palace and their Winter Stadium Limited Edition launch.
