New York - Jason Weisenfeld has been named the president of Seven Global, Global Brands Group Holding new joint venture with Simon Fuller and David Beckham. Weisenfeld arrives at Seven Global with stints on his resume at Coach Inc., Versace, and Net-a-Porter. He will be responsible for overseeing the development of the Beckham brand globally across multiple consumer categories.

The company, which is a spinoff of Li & Fung Ltd., said that Weisenfeld will also be responsible for the development of other brands in partnership with sports and entertainment stars. Weisenfeld was an original member of the team that helped launched Victoria Beckham's brand, and has already worked with David Beckham on several other fashion related projects, so he is no stranger to the Beckham family, company, or brand.

In a statement, Bruce Rockowitz, CEO and Vice Chairman of GBG, said, "“[Weisenfeld's] proven track record in building world-class brands, from launching new businesses, to advising prestigious brands and fashion industry icons on their development.” Beckham and Fuller will be 50-50 partners in this new joint venture. The company revealed this deal late in 2014 as part of a new series of celebrity-driven brands that will be spread across multiple product categories, including fashion, food, and electronics.
