Premium denim brand Joe’s recently added a new person to serve as brand president. Global Brands Group Holding Ltd. confirmed that Suzy Biszantz would take over the new position at the denim company.

While the company gears up for its first collection to launch this spring, Joe’s decided to bring in a new person to help oversee growing the brand. Biszantz will be in charge of the brand’s “next phase of growth,” as reported by WWD, and will also work closely with Joe Dahan, the brand’s founder and creative director. She was hired due to her impressive experience in growing fashion brands. According to the trade publication, Biszantz was described by president and chief operating officer of Global Brands Group as an “accomplished industry executive with a proven track record.” Her prior experience includes working as chief executive officer for the Americas for La Perla, European-based intimate apparel label. Her work also spans to other renowned retailers including Adidas/Reebok.

The 15-year-old brand has been recently planning to expand globally. The Los Angeles-denim company currently operates five stores in California as well as 30 other flagships across the U.S. Aside from solo stores, Joe’s merchandise is also available at retailers such as Printemps, Liberty, Harrods, and more.
