Lululemon realigns leadership to strengthen competitive position
Canadian technical athletic apparel brand Lululemon has announced a new senior leadership team structure designed to strengthen its competitive position and drive future growth.
As part of the reorganization, the company appointed Maggie Gauger as president and chief product officer, alongside Joseph Godsey as chief operating officer, both effective October 26, 2026. Both roles are newly created.
“We are establishing a deeply experienced leadership team that will work in a more coordinated manner, aligned around the strategy and execution that delivers the most impact for our guests, our communities, and our business,” said chief executive officer Heidi O'Neill. “That starts with putting product, design, and innovation at the center of how we operate, with the focus and accountability to create a stronger pipeline of differentiated product to raise the bar for our guests across every touchpoint, in stores and online.”

The structural updates also mark the departure of two senior executives. Chief brand and product activation officer Nikki Neuburger and chief supply chain officer Ted Dagnese will both leave the business on November 6, 2026, after helping ensure a transition phase.
Searches are currently underway for a chief brand officer, a chief communications officer, and a chief technology officer. Until those appointments are made, chief financial officer Meghan Frank will assume interim oversight of global brand and technology functions, while continuing her responsibilities in finance and strategy. Lululemon is also searching for a chief strategy officer, who will report directly to Frank.
Strategic realignments across product and operations
Gauger joins Lululemon from US athletic brand Athleta, where she held the role of president and chief executive officer. In her new position, she will oversee design, merchandising, footwear, product innovation, and materials science to align end-to-end product creation. She brings more than 28 years of industry experience, including two decades at Nike.
Godsey previously served as chief growth officer at retailer Walmart Canada. His responsibilities at Lululemon will encompass sourcing and production, commercialization, go-to-market, fulfillment, planning and allocations, and sustainability portfolios. Prior to Walmart Canada, Godsey served as chief supply chain officer at Sam’s Club and spent 15 years at Adidas in various digital and supply chain roles.
Under the revised corporate hierarchy, president and chief commercial officer André Maestrini will continue to lead the global commercial organization. Chief legal and compliance officer Shannon Higginson and chief people and culture officer Susan Gelinas will also remain in their respective roles, reporting directly to O'Neill.
