New York - Former Hugo Boss and Michael Kors executive Mark Brashear has been named the new chief executive officer of John Varvatos Enterprises. Brashear, who had a very low-key departure from Michael Kors where he was president of men's wear, will be taking over as ceo of John Varvatos Enterprises immediately. Brashear succeeds Cristiano Quieti, who departed the company last month.

Varvatos described Brashear to WWD as "passionate, strategic, a brand builder and a strong leader. He is the perfect fit for the JV brand. He has great relationships with our retail partners and will add immense value, thus ensuring that we meet our strategic growth and financial initiatives.”

As for his goals for John Varvatos, Brashear plans to expand retail stores and wholesale both domestically and internationally.

In addition to working at Michael Kors and Hugo Boss, Brashear was also president of Faconnable for seven years. He has also worked at Nordstrom.
