ModCloth names former American Apparel exec as new CEO

ModCloth has appointed Silvia Mazzucchelli as its new CEO as Antonio Nieves steps down from the position after just under two years. Nieves will spend remain with the company for some time to help Mazzucchelli transition into the role.

Mazzucchelli comes to ModCloth from American Apparel, where she led initiatives during the brand's recent relaunch. Prior to this, she held roles of chief merchandising officer for Tomes Shoes and vice president of global corporate strategy with Guess.

Along with its new CEO, ModCloth has also announced the appointment of Sabina Weber to the role of vice president of marketing. Weber also comes from American Apparel, where she worked with Mazzucchelli as vice president of brand marketing.
