Patricia Nash Designs has promoted Jennifer Vanderink to president, the Knoxville, Tennessee-based accessories brand announced on Wednesday. Founder Patricia Nash remains chief executive officer.
Vanderink, Nash’s daughter, previously served as vice president of operations and strategy. In her expanded role, she will remain involved in the logistical, legal and commercial sides of the business, with an added focus on the company’s operational and business ventures. Nash will continue to lead the brand’s strategy, growth and financial health, and stay hands-on with creative direction and design.
“My mother has always had a rare combination of creative vision and real business instinct, and she has methodically and very transparently shared with me all the lessons and experiences she has amassed in business over the years,” said Vanderink in a statement. “I am extremely honored that she has put this trust in me to carry her legacy forward, and I do feel an added sense of responsibility to work harder than ever to protect and grow what she has built.”
The appointment comes as the family-owned brand plans further growth, including rebuilding its footwear business, reaching new audiences and expanding its design team. Vanderink will focus on reaching more women, strengthening relationships with customers, vendors, retail partners and employees, and growing the brand’s philanthropic efforts, including increased support for breast cancer organisation Susan G. Komen.
The company is also preparing its first major brand collaboration, with Paddington, set for spring 2027. “It’s a huge undertaking for us, and we’re bringing it to life with our retail partners through in-store experiences, activations and pop-in shops,” said Vanderink.
Founded 16 years ago, Patricia Nash Designs is sold in thousands of stores across the US. The brand focuses on quality materials and construction at affordable price points.
