Fashion designer Matthieu Blazy is rumoured to have joined fashion house Céline, under Phoebe Philo's creative leadership. According to reports by fashion trade magazine WWD, Blazy has left Maison Martin Margiela, where he was in charge of the couture line, and may have joined Celine.

The Paris-based designer, who joined Maison Martin Margiela in 2011, interned for Balenciaga and John Galliano before starting to work for Raf Simons in 2007. Now that John Galliano has joined Maison Martin Margiela, reports of Blazy's departure are rife, though neither Céline nor Margiela wished to respond to the rumors.

According to WWD, Galliano has formed his own team at the French fashion house, consisting of old colleagues. Vanessa Bellanger, his muse and assistant at Christian Dior, Alexandre Roux, his assistant at Dior and at his own label, Yves Mustiere, and former workshop manager Rafaele Hardy have all been recruited.

Meanwhile, WWD reports that Philo has also tapped Yvan Mispelaere, her former assistant at Chloé, to join her creative team. Mispelaere has worked for Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Valentino and most recently headed up the creative team at Diane von Furstenberg.
