Roberto Eggs can now add a new job to his already very impressive resumé. The businessman has been tapped by Moncler SpA to be their new Chief Operating Officer. Eggs will step into his new role on May 1st, plenty of time for him to make arrangements for his current employer Louis Vuitton to groom his successors.

Eggs currently serves as the president of Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India at Louis Vuitton. He came to Louis Vuitton in 2009 after having worked for Nestlé SA for over 17 years. In his new role at Moncler he will be responsible for all global business activities and will report to Moncler’s chairman and CEO Remo Ruffini.

In addition to his impressive list of job experiences, Eggs also has the perfect educational pedigree for the job as well. He has degrees in economics and management, with specializations at the prestigious London Business School and the IMD in Lausanne. If there is a man who can handle a luxury brand and ensure successful international growth it is him.

As for Eggs successors at Louis Vuittion, Alessandro Valenti, Vuitton’s current managing director in France, and Francois Pedrol, Vuitton’s general manager of the Middle East will have some promotions to look forward to come May 1st. Valenti will be covering Eggs old European territory in addition to adding Northern Europe and Russia, while Pedrol will be covering the Middle East, Africa, and India while adding Southern Europe and Turkey. It will be interesting to see how Eggs expertise will translate into Moncler’s market, but, given his experience it looks like Moncler will be in good hands.
