Andrew Cooper has been appointed Sequential Brands Group Inc.'s president. He will report directly to the company's president Yehuda Shmidman. He was recruited for the role by a process conducted by Tengram Capital Partners.

In a statement, William Sweedler, chairman of Sequential and cofounder of Tengram Capital, said "We are pleased to welcome Andrew Cooper to the management team at Sequential. Andrew’s expertise in helping companies achieve operational excellence and maximize productivity will both strengthen our infrastructure and help to drive our long-term goals for the business.”

Shmidman said "The expansion of our corporate management team reflects the overall expansion of our business, and our desire to continue executing our growth plan.”

According to Shmidman, Sequential Brand's portfolio has grown from a few brands that generate over 100 million dollars in sales to one that generates over 4 billion dollars in sales.

A graduate of Duke University and University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, Cooper is a seasoned veteran of the business world. Most recently, he served as a partner at Pegasus Capital Advisors, and the ceo of Universal Lubricants, a company in Pegasus' portfolio. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of Priceline.com.
