Sock maker Stance is working on expanding into new categories beyond socks, as part of their strategy to do so they are working on building up their executive team. One of their new hires as part of this strategy is Paul Zaengle, the former Vice President of Retail for Lululemon Athletica, as their new Vice President of Global E-commerce. In his new role Zaengle will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of the company's digital presence, which includes rebuilding their website which relaunched in April.

One of Stance's first steps in their expansion will be venturing into the underwear category. The company raised 50 million dollars from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Buyers and August Capital that will help them branch out into underwear. With the constant reminder that e-commerce is the wave of the retail future, Zaengle has said that Stance has a long runway to make strides in the digital world, although he has not given any specifics as to what he plans to do yet.

In addition to his prior role at Lululemon, Zaengle has also worked at Columbia Sportswear where he was their Vice President of Global E-commerce. In that role he oversaw Columbia, Sorel, Mountain Hardwear, and Montrail launch online in the U.S. Stance is entering a new era, one marked by a new digital strategy and great underwear.
