Publishing executive Steven DeLuca is now going the PR route and will be joining New York-based PR firm HL Group as their president and chief marketing officer reports WWD. In this newly created role, DeLuca will be responsible for overseeing various divisions at HL and heading up new business.

DeLuca was most recently senior vice president and publishing director for Departures, Departures Home + Design, Departures.com and Centurion magazine. He was responsible for further the aforementioned publications positions in the luxury market. In 2016, the brand's revenues hit a record high. In March he departed Time Inc. in the midst of mass restructuring and their sale to Meredith.

DeLuca will be taking over some of the responsibilities from Amy Hufft, who left HL after two years in the role of president. In his new role, DeLuca will also be responsible for overseeing fashion lifestyle, consumer and luxury. He will be reporting to HL cofounder Lynn Tesoro.

“With his many years of media management and marketing expertise, coupled with his deep roots in the travel, luxury and hospitality space, I am confident that Steve will bring new thinking to HL and serve as a driving force behind our future growth," Tesoro said in a statement.
