Business Insider has reported that Tyler Haney, the CEO of Outdoor Voices, is stepping down from the athletics brand. Haney, who founded the company in 2013, is expected to stay on, but in a different role.
Outdoor Voices found a millennial consumer base for people who wanted colorful athletic wear deviating away from the neutral choices. By 2018, the company has reached 64 million dollars in funding, and even had former J. Crew CEO and Chairman Mickey Drexler as one of its investors.
While things were on the up for Outdoor Voices for a while, last year they struggled to raise more funding and were seeing losses of 2 million dollars a month with annual sales of 40 million dollars. The brands products includes leggings, sports bras, t-shirts, and exercise dresses for women at a price point between 35 dollars and 115 dollars, and men's shorts and t-shirts at a price between 35 dollars and 55 dollars.
