Via Spiga brings in new creative director with relaunch

The American footwear brand Via Spiga just recently announced that it would be relaunching with a brand new modern collection. The new launch also comes with Carla De Freitas joining the brand as their new creative director.

De Freitas will be in charge of every aspect of the line creatively. Her efforts will focus on form, function, and style of Via Spiga. Her creative vision also aligns with female empowerment as well as highlighting Italian craftsmanship.

"My design goal is to give women a collection that they can come to for all their needs. We want them to look and feel great. There is a concerted effort in everything that we do toward making each pair comfortable without compromising design and style. For me, this all begins with seeking out the finest materials and leveraging them in the most advanced design practices to date. This is indeed a new day for the brand," said De Freitas.

Established in 1985, the sophisticated footwear has been known for its Italian leather, suedes, and rich materials. With a new relaunch, the company can move forward in a new direction with an emphasis on women empowerment. With the new focus, the fall 2017 collection is available now through Via Spiga's newly launched website. The brand ranges in price from 195 to 495 dollars and is also available in department stores and specialty boutiques.
