Z Supply, SoCal-based apparel manufacturer, is known as a powerhouse company that produces womenswear across the United States. Recently, the brand hired Heidi Muther as the new chief operating officer.

Muther was hired in order to help facilitate growth for the company. Previously, Muther worked with knitwear apparel company St. John. At the Irvine-based company, she held the position of senior vice president of the company and its outlet stores. At St. John, she held the managing position handling aspects of the outlet retail business. “She brings strong retail and brand management skills that will support our aggressive, long-term plans for all of the brands,” Greg Garrett, co-owner of Z Supply, told Apparel News. Previously, Muther also worked at Billabong and Pacific Sunwear handling and managing at the popular retail brands. “Heidi has a successful history of branding, buying, and merchandising at the highest levels in the business,” Garrett told the publication.

Z Supply, founded in 2013, is based in Irvine, California. The company offers a multitude of brands which are skillfully designed and marketing towards its customer base. Z Supply brands are geared towards a vast range of markets. The company also specializes in contemporary clothing, bohemian apparel, and artisan denim. Z Supply also maintains its own garment production factory and textile processing facilities. Branches that the company has launched include Black Swan, White Crow, Others Follow, and more. The company size consists of about 11-50 employees. The womenswear is sold in 1,800 stores nationwide. In 2013, the company cleared 8 million dollars in sales. The new hire, Muther, is expected to help increase sales for 2015.

Muther’s goal at the company is to double revenue, which would be an estimated 24 million dollars. She will oversee the company’s portfolio and brands and report to Garrett.
