After six years on Beverly Drive, A.Sweet Boutique is closing next month on April 17. The designer boutique and candy shop, owned and run by Andrea Trujillo, decided to close to the store in order to begin her new venture. Located on 253 S. Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills, the prestigious boutique has gained recognition among Los Angeles locals for its candy and fashion.

A.Sweet Boutique carried labels such as American Retro, Harlyn, Mint., Tina + Jo, Zimmermann, Mara Hoffman, Paper Crown, Caviar & Cashmere, Jagger Edge and other brands. Some of the brands, such as Paper Crown and Mint. are Los Angeles based brands that were showcased at the boutique on Beverly Drive.

On why the store is closing, Trujillo said that she has been proud of her shop, but is ready to start something new. “It has been an incredible labor of love in which I have poured my heart, style, and soul,” said Trujillo to L.A. Racked.

The store opened on October 6, 2009 introducing a new concept to Beverly Hills: a candy and fashion infused shop. Due to the closure, the store will be having a closing sale including display fixtures. The store will have clothing from 50 to 75 percent. Its e-site will also sell clothing until May 1. Although the store is closing, this won’t be stopping Trujillo from her next vision. “Your favorite things in life inspire the person you are, and the things that you do,” said Trujillo.
