This month, a couple of elevated basics and minimalist brands have teamed together for the ultimate pop-up. Curated by women’s clothing brand Aella, the concept shop entitled Uniform: The Collective just opened on the East Coast.

The temporary boutique will be located off of Lexington Avenue in New York from March 1st to the 31st. The collective will feature a range of items that make up the modern women’s daily uniform and routine, reflecting the shop’s name. Instead of individualized pop-ups, Aella has brought together a portfolio of essentials-focused brands to retail that aim at improving women’s everyday life. “Our customers are all similar- ambitious, go-getters, who desire to own quality items that they can use day in and day out,” Eunice Cho, founder of Aella, said in a statement. “The brands we’re working with all create the modern woman’s ‘go-to’ – the LBP (little black pant) that she can wear 24/7, the classic loafers that are comfortable enough to traverse the town, a timeless & durable leather bag, etc.,” says Cho.

The shop will sell Aella apparel, Neely & Chloe handbags, Peet Rivko skincare, Thelma shoes, and Mave New York shaving products. All of these are female-founded brands, which further reflect Aella’s mission of empowering women in the fashion industry. Most of these brands are also direct-to-consumer, which makes the pop-up a rare opportunity to allow New Yorkers to purchase in person.

In the past, the company has featured female executives in marketing campaigns as well as has participated in previous pop-ups in Los Angeles. It seems that with this new pop-up, the brand is also working to empower women on the East Coast. For the month of March, the collective will also include various events that allow women and industry professionals to network and connect. The events are featured as “Weekly Happy Hours” with libations on Fridays from 5-7 p.m. On March 8, the boutique will also celebrate International Women’s Day with The Style Line. Instead of just a retail experience, the space will also serve as a hub for working women.

The new pop-up space will be open for the remainder of the month up until March 31.
