AG Jeans confirms new flagship in Newport Beach

AG Jeans just announced a new residency. Popping up in Newport Beach, the premium denim label is planning to open a permanent retail location at Fashion Island.

As Orange County’s premier shopping destination, Fashion Island has a range of specialty boutiques and high-end department stores for both locals and tourists. Alice + Olivia, a contemporary New York-based brand, also announced an opening at the plaza this month. AG will be joining the roster of retailers and will be landing next to Alice + Olivia. The store will open this upcoming spring. According to Fashion Island’s website, listed under AG, the company states its status as “Coming Soon.”

The interior of the store is set to match its other locations. “The space will have the same look and feel as our Beverly Hills flagship store, with custom millwork and fixtures created and manufactured by our in-house design team,” director of retail Sid Dey said in a statement. Upon opening, the store will take over Kate Spade’s former space.

Launched in 2000 by Yul Ku, the brand was rooted with a focus on premium denim. Designed in Los Angeles, the brand reflects sophisticated, classic styles. Joining the reputable stores at Fashion Island, the store’s addition is quite fitting.
