Ford Motor Co. is the latest automaker to join Amazon Key, Amazon’s free in-car delivery service made possible by an app that allows people to lock and unlock the front door of their cars from their phones. For now, the service is only available to Amazon Prime members who own select Ford and Lincoln models produced from 2017 onwards.

“It's a convenient, secure way to ensure your packages are delivered directly to you when you are out for the day, anticipating bad weather or wondering if your package is safe”, Ford said in a statement.

Chevrolet, Volvo, Cadillac, Buick and GMC already work with Amazon Key.
