Apiece Apart opens West Coast boutique

Apiece Apart just made its first foray into retail in California. The brand has finally confirmed a Venice opening with a store set to launch Saturday, April 7.

The chic, contemporary label has mostly made name for itself in New York up until now. The brand decided to move towards the West with a flagship in order to target L.A. Currently, the city marks the brands biggest audience of women, according to cofounder of the company Laura Cramer, as told to WWD. “Everybody looks West," Cramer told the publication. "Our friends are here. The women who inspire us are here. A lot of our favorite designers and colleagues are here, so it was a no brainer." As Los Angeles has been known as a growing fashion mecca for many, it makes sense that Apiece Apart would target the West Coast eventually for flagships.

The brand describes itself as a "line of elevated basics, building block pieces that are as versatile as the women wearing them," according to the label's website. The refined label is available now in over 200 retail locations worldwide. As both designers Cramer and Starr Houtt live in Brooklyn, Apiece Apart naturally gained traction on the East Coast. In targeting a popular location in Southern California, it seems the brand can make its mark finally on the West Coast.
