Fashionista has reported that workwear label Argent has opened a new store in New York City. Argent might not be a household name yet, but if you've logged on to a news website at any point since 2016 you would certainly recognize their clothes. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton wore Argent on the campaign trail, and it has also been worn by other high profile public figures including Arianna Huffington, feminist icon Gloria Steinem, and 2020 presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

The brand was founded by Sali Christeson, a former Silicon Valley and finance industry businesswoman, in 2016. The brand was founded as a direct-to-consumer brand with a heavy emphasis on neutrals, but they have expanded to other colors due to customer demand. Argent recently received a 4 million dollar investment from Founder Fund as reported by Fashionista.

The company is using the investment to open a flagship store in New York City. The new space will be far from your traditional shopping experience. The space will feature a private co-working and networking area, and host entrepreneurial-focused workshops focused on things like speed negotiating training and financial literacy planning.

The goal for Argent is to have more pop-up shops that mirror their flagship store. As consumers return to more tailored pieces, Argent is poised to continue seeing growth. Their brand loyalty is growing and working in their favor.
