American fashion brand Badgley Mischka has announced a new flagship in West Hollywood, LA. Wanting to reflect the culture and heritage of its red carpet style, the brand selected a stand-alone historical building that speaks to a style of old Hollywood sophistication as its new location.

The location was originally built in the early 18th century, and like the brand’s signature inspiration, the building has a history with Hollywood. It appeared as the backdrop for several films, including Scarface and the television series Charlie’s Angels.

Badgley Mischka holds a significant consumer base in the LA area. Notable actresses including Helen Mirren, Halle Berry and Kate Winslet have worn the brand’s couture line on the red carpet. The brand aims to cater to its customers’ needs and allow a streamlined strategy of engagement with their customers, thus the decision to plant a flagship in the West Hollywood neighborhood.

"Badgley Mischka has a long and special history with Los Angeles and the inspirational old Hollywood opulence that has influenced our designs for the past 30 years," principal designer Mark Badgley said in a statement. "We want to offer a nod to those who have been with us since the inception of the brand and ensure that we are always evolving with our loyal customer base. We can't wait to welcome the vibrant community here in Los Angeles to experience Badgley Mischka's new store which is the quintessentially glamorous representation of the brand."

His co-founder and principal designer James Mischka added, "Our new store is more of a reflection of a residential space and the variety of product offerings illustrate that. We want our customers to walk in and feel very much like they are visiting a real Hollywood Hills home."

Badgley Mischka currently has 21 stores worldwide, and shared plans to increase that number to 67 by the end of next year. The brand has a digital shopping platform as well, and intends to use brick and mortar retail as a complement to it.
