Bailey44 unveils expansion plan in Los Angeles

Modern contemporary-wear Bailey44 recently announced that it will be expanding its retail footprint into the greater Los Angeles area. Over the next three years, the brand plans to target 14 additional stores spanning from New York to California.

The brand currently has been successful since its establishment almost a decade ago. The brand’s sales have increased each year by 20 percent, according to WWD. The brand offers womenswear a trendy take on the modern business woman. Styles that Bailey44 offers range from pencil skirts, body-con dresses, silk blouses, to matte jersey jumpsuits. The brand attracts its target market of women between the ages of 30 and 45. Prices for the brand range approximately from 90 to 350 dollars. Currently the brand is distributed at specialty retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom. Although the brand has done well, Bailey44 has an emerging plan to help boost sales. “The brand is continually evolving,” Frank Doroff, vice chairman of Bloomingdale’s, told WWD. In order to “take their business to the next level,” the brand hopes to open additional stores across the U.S. Targeting New York’s TriBeCa neighborhood, Studio City and Los Angeles; the brand hopes to reach over 50 million dollars in revenue for 2016. Overall, the brand wants to move forward with its contemporary wear and expand to new customers.

Bailey44, was founded in 2006, as a contemporary womenswear line. Based in Los Angeles, the brand designs and manufactures all of its apparel locally. The clothing is directed for the sophisticated, effortless modern women who appreciates quality in her style. The brand currently is currently sold in department stores and specialty boutiques in North America and Europe. In addition to previously mentioned department stores, Bailey44 is also available at Intermix, ShopBop.com, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
