Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini won’t be showing their collection until February 27th during Milan Fashion Week, but the brand already has something to celebrate. On February 11th, 2015 it was announced that Barneys New York would be carrying their collection again. This is the first time that Barneys will be carrying their collection since spring 2009. After a six year hiatus, Lorenzo Serafini is more than happy that Barneys has welcomed him back to their store, and if it isn’t enough to be welcomed back to their store, the collection is being carried in the flagship store in New York, the most high trafficked Barneys in the entire company.

It also doesn’t stop there. The collection will also be carried at Barneys in San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Boston, Chicago, and Brooklyn. Apparently it didn’t make too much for Serafini to work his way back into Barneys good graces either. They simply were just wowed by the collection. “The Barneys team loved the collection. It felt fresh and current, embodying a romantic, flirty spirit with undertones of a sophisticated sexiness,” Barneys Vice-President of and General Merchandise Manager for Women’s, Jennifer Sunwoo was quoted saying in Women’s Wear Daily.

Needless to say, the collection was anything short of ordinary, including everything from printed silk blouse dresses to halter neck sun dresses. Serafini spared no level of artistry with this collection, and now he gets to reap the rewards. Making the return to a major department store such as Barneys is sure to garner the design plenty of attention from fashion editors, to major magazines, and other department stores alike who will have buyers clamoring to carry his collection as well. Returning to Barneys is also sure to do wonders for Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s revenue as well. After all, New Yorkers love to shop, and there are few placers with higher shopping traffic in America than Madison Avenue.

If the fabulous clothes weren’t enough to convince Barney to start carrying Serafini thing a little help from a top model might have helped too. Hillary Rhoda was the star of the pre-fall look book which was photographed by Ezra Petronio, who also created a short film for the collection that debuted on February 11th, 2015. For those who are looking for those silk georgettes it’s advised that you start stalking barneys.com now, because once this collection is available it is sure to be a hit.
