Basic Terrain opens new location in Malibu

Lifestyle apparel brand Basic Terrain recently announced that it will be joining Malibu Country Mart’s roster of specialty boutiques this week.

To kick off the opening, the brand will host an in-store launch event tomorrow on August 25. Known for its laid-back and stylish clothing, the brand encompasses a bohemian take on travel fashion. Pieces for Basic Terrain include jumpsuits, dresses, blouses, bottom, denim, and more. The style of Basic Terrain encompasses an effortlessly cool look offering pieces such as military jackets, knit hoodies, and chic kimonos. Basic Terrain’s merchandise ranges in price from approximately 105 to 590 dollars. At the new opening, Basic Terrain will showcase its latest pieces from its apparel collection. A pop-up beauty bar from Urban Decay will also be present at the event. The brand’s permanent shop will be a nice change of pace from its pop-ups that it’s hosted in the Los Angeles area in the past. In mid-July, Basic Terrain popped up at the Grove offering a temporary pop-up shop on Third Street.

The lifestyle brand was established about a year ago in June by creators Joy Bryant and her husband Dave Pope. Bryant had previously worked in the fashion industry as a former model and also worked as an actress in entertainment. Campaigns Bryant starred in include Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. The brand exclusively caters to audiences that appreciate wanderlust and travel fashion styles.
