Los Angeles - Battistoni, Italian-based apparel brand, is looking to expand globally. Starting with the U.S., the brand’s first flagship in the states will debut in Los Angeles. The boutique, which will span over 6,500 square feet, is scheduled to open near the end of January.

The idea of opening Battistoni’s first store in America is part of the company’s way of bringing new exposure to the brand. According to WWD, opening the first flagship in Los Angeles was a “natural choice for the brand,” due to its proximity to Hollywood and other fashion icons. However, the brand’s expansion doesn’t stop in SoCal. Once the Italian store opens in the Los Angeles, it will pave the way for expansion in other parts of the U.S. “As soon as we open the L.A. store, we will start working on a store in Miami, which is likely bound to happen in 2017,” Francesco Capodiferro, chief executive officer of the brand, told WWD.

The store’s interior will feature high-end materials in order to create an elevated decor. According the store will have walnut, bronze, leather, and travertine stone. The architects who helped in handling the design concept for the Italian store include Emiliano Vitolo and Guilio Baiocco. Although the stores date is not yet set, Battistoni is still currently available in the U.S. through Barneys New York locations.
