Back in September of 2014, Danish fashion company, Bestseller, made it known that they had their sights set on the United States, particularly for their brand Vero Moda. Well, their ambitions certainly aren’t proving to be small, and are certainly becoming a reality, because the retailer has opened a sales office in New York City.

Sportswear International has reported that Bestseller has taken over the tenth floor of 530 Seventh Avenue, where they are regulating the sales of Vero Moda, Noisy May, and Juna Rose. The area is seen as prime real estate for retail companies located right in the heart of midtown right on Fashion Avenue. What better place to begin your entrance into the American fashion market than in the heart of the fashion capital of the U.S. on Fashion Avenue.

Bestseller is currently located in 38 countries worldwide with over 3,000 stores. This move will begin their slow and steady entrance into the American market. In addition to their brick-and-mortar operations, Bestseller is also available online in over 70 countries. Aside from Vero Moda, some of the other brands under their umbrella include Pieces, Mamalicious, and Jack & Jones. The company was founded in 1975 by Merete Bech Povlsen and Troels Holch Povlsen. The current CEO is the son of the two aforementioned founders, Anders Holch Povlsen. It will be quite interesting to see what the company brings to the American market, but, it looks like they are already setting up shop in all the right ways.
