BLDWN opens its doors to first flagship store in Los Angeles

American fashion brand BLDWN has opened its first flagship store in the Melrose Place shopping neighborhood in Los Angeles. The store, which is located at 8424 Melrose Place, boasts a 1,100 square foot space that will serve as an immersive retail and is reflective of BLDWN’s new brand vision of American design.
Designed by Montalba Architects with the label’s creative team, the new retail location features “framed vignettes that seam together the BLDWN story.” It also showcases floating custom millwork and metal frames strategically placed throughout the store.
“The vision from the beginning was to create a retail environment and experience that fully embodied and represented our brand’s of modern American fashion and design,” said BLDWN’s president, Johnathan Crocker in a statement. “For me, that began with identifying and American architect to partner with.
The new store will be furnished with collector’s pieces from American designers including Eames, Platner, and Baumer. Consumers will also find artwork by various emerging artists, ceramists, and designers, which will all be available for purchase.
